Fresh new visuals for the Rolling Stones & Aurora

With many people still working from home, streaming has taken an upturn as a source of comfort. And now with restrictions easing and record shops opening back up, album releases and promotion are on the cards once again.

Here’s some of the content we’ve been making to promote artists and keep their fans engaged and entertained over the last few weeks.

‘Lady Jane’ & ‘Play With Fire’ lyric video for the Rolling Stones

Yes Please teamed up with ABKCO again to create some fresh new visuals for their catalogue tracks ‘Lady Jane’ and ‘Play With Fire’ by the Rolling Stones. 50 years after their original release, our videos give these tracks a new presence online, introducing them to a whole new generation of fans as people look for comfort and nostalgia.

Wanting to enhance the baroque-rock feel of the track, we were inspired by hand-drawn album sleeve art and music posters from the mid ‘60s. Featuring a series of hand drawn scenes, the video was also largely hand animated. Although time consuming, the result was worth it. The traditional animation technique gives the video a timeless look and makes for a beautiful video that fits the pace and vibe of the track perfectly. The fans seem to agree – with over 3 million views since it’s upload 3 weeks ago, it has created a buzz, receiving an influx of positive comments.

Our atmospheric visual for ‘Play With Fire’ blends a combination of vintage stock footage with bold typography and VFX creating a piece that reflects the song’s brooding menace.

Lyric video & visualiser for Aurora’s ‘Exist For Love’ and ‘Daydreamer’

We’ve also teamed up with music marketing agency Blackstar to create this lyric video for singer-songwriter Aurora’s track ‘Exist For Love’. Repurposing some beautiful footage from her recent music video shoot, we created this 1920s art-deco inspired video. As well as a visualiser for her latest release ‘Daydreamer’.
