Mick Jagger’s had enough of lockdown

We’ve made it to May! Someone who’s certainly had enough of lockdown is Mick Jagger. So much so he teamed up with his mate Dave and wrote a song about it. We were delighted to be approached by Polydor to add the lyrics and graphics to Mick’s video for his post pandemic inspired track ‘Eazy Sleazy’. After a few years of working on Stone’s catalogue releases, it was great to finally have some connection with the man himself.

Khyenci ft. Tory Lanez – Only Fans

We’ve once again teamed up with our friends at 3 Beat to produce a lyric video for their artist Khyenci. The track ‘Only Fans’ is, I’m told, about a popular website. Referencing the single artwork and in keeping with the lyrical content of the track, we depicted the lyrics as a series of neon signs.

The Rolling Stones – Miss Amanda Jones & Long Long While

We’ve continued working our way through the Rolling Stone’s catalogue. We’ve now made over 100 lyric videos for ABKCO’s Rolling Stones output, and will soon have created visuals for their entire catalogue. It’s a body of work we’re incredibly proud of. It’s a great thrill to know that our work represents many of the greatest rock and roll songs of all time. Below are a couple of the most recent examples, for ‘Miss Amanda Jones’ and ‘Long Long While’. Both take an analogue, ‘painterly’ approach, but in very different ways. It was great fun doing some hand-drawn animations to hit beats on ‘Miss Amanda Jones’ – with it’s awesome guitar riff it should be more well known than it is.

The much more gentle ‘Long Long While’ was originally released as the B-Side to ‘Paint it Black’, and ABKCO wanted it to sit alongside the lyric video they’d previously made for that classic. So we took some cues from the ‘Paint It Black’ video, such as the font and brush strokes, but enhanced the design and added our touches including atmospheric lighting and smoke to suit the mood of the song.

Bill Evans – Everybody Still Digs Bill Evans

Craft Recordings came to us to create a trailer to publicise Bill Evan’s career spanning box set. For this master of incredibly relaxing piano jazz, we showcased the contents and unique packaging in an environment which complements the sleeve art.
