Elton John with John Lennon – Whatever Gets You Thru The Night
Client: Universal Music / Elton / The Lennon Estate
Role: Motion Design · Visual Direction

Yes Please Productions created a video commemorating a historic music moment: John Lennon joining Elton John on stage at Madison Square Garden on November 28, 1974, to perform “Whatever Gets You Thru The Night.”

We had access to an amazing archive of photographs, and the video revisits the evening and highlights the friendship between Elton and John.

This performance is a critical scene in the recent film about Elton’s life, ‘Never Too Late,’ as it was John Lennon’s last major concert appearance.
