Take a trip with George Harrison’s new video
August is here, and at Yes Please we are all fully vaccinated and ready to start enjoying the real world again! Giddy with excitement after Sitting Inside a Pub and Going on the Tube – we’ve barely had time to catch our breath. But the work has carried on nevertheless.George
Harrison ‘Cosmic Empire (Day 2 Demo)’
We couldn’t let a month go by without creating another lyric video – and this one was special. We were delighted to be approached by Universal who asked us to create a video for the previously unreleased ‘Cosmic Empire’ by George Harrison. This was part of Universal’s impressive marketing push for their amazing 50th Anniversary box set reissue of ‘All Things Must Pass’. It was a huge honour to be part of this campaign, and we’ve been wanting to work with a Beatle for a long time, so that was one thing we could now tick off the bucket list. The track is a previously unreleased demo about inner and outer worlds – discovering the beauty of the universe whilst exploring new plains of consciousness. We represented this through collage, combining colourful flora and fauna, natural landscapes, magic mushrooms and mescaline cacti with astronomical imagery, trippy patterns and sacred geometry.
Muse by Clio ‘First Note’ about the transformative power of music
Our expertise in creating lyric videos has not gone unnoticed and we were delighted to be featured in two articles in the last month. ‘How the Rolling Stones Literally Changed My Career’ from Muse by Clio, in which we discuss how we first got involved in the wonderful world of lyric videos.
Creativepool ‘Inspirational Leaders’
And our thoughts for ‘Creativepool’ in which we discuss the evolution of the lyric video and how it’s often an underrated and maligned artform.
